What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, email, photo)
- Your account credentials and login access
- Your notification preferences and settings
- Your church affiliation and preferences
- Active session bookings (if any)
What We Retain
For legal, security, and service quality reasons, we retain the following data:
- Transaction Records: Payment history for tax and audit purposes (7 years)
- Session Transcripts: Anonymized chat logs for quality assurance and legal compliance
- Reviews: Your counselor reviews remain visible but will show as "Deleted User"
- Counselor Data: If you're a counselor, your professional information may be retained for historical session records
Note: Personal identifiers will be removed from retained data where possible, making it non-attributable to you.
Before You Delete
Consider These Alternatives:
- Temporary Deactivation: Contact support to temporarily disable your account instead of permanently deleting it
- Privacy Settings: Adjust your privacy settings in the app to control data sharing
- Notification Control: Turn off notifications in app settings without deleting your account
